48’’ In Length, AAAA Quality Faceted Carnelian, and Peach Moonstone Gemstones, 14kt Gold Bonded Accent Beads, 20mm 14kt Gold Bonded Toggle Clasp.
The Carnelian Gemstone Faceted Beads in this Necklace are Amazing, each Gemstone is shaded in Warmth and Glowing. Super Clean Stones varying in Color pallets from light Orange to Dark Amber, the contrast Peach Moonstone Faceted Beads cast a Soft Creamy Peach and lend balance to the piece.
This Necklace is for the True Collector, I love the way the Gemstone shapes and sizes all complement each other, light and dark, I gave great thought to placement when I was stringing these Gemstones, I actually ended up undoing this several times until I was happy with the balance.
I sourced these Gemstones about 10 years ago, and I have to be honest, I’ve done several designs using these stones but was never happy and finally just took things apart and back stocked the loose material for down the road.
3 days ago I thought about the Gemstones and was craving Orange, and well here I go again, I am finally happy with the result. It just goes to show you, time is the factor when designing, it just doesn’t always happen just because…
There are not many Orange Gemstones, Carnelian has been used dating back to 1800 BC very similar to Chalcedonay found in Germany, Russia, India, Indonesia, Brazil, and Sri Lanka. As with all Gemstones there are Grades of Quality, and with this stone you really want only the AAAA Quality, you will not have a clean clear stone without them looking muddy or having inclusions and you want light, meaning, to make it easier to explain, it’s like looking into a pond or lake, you want to see depth and reflection from the bottom shining back up not dull and murky.
So now that you have a little knowledge, the Necklace is sold as a 3 Piece Suite with a 7 1/4’’ Bracelet 20mm Toggle Clasp. 14kt Gold Bonded.
The Earrings are done on 14kt Gold Bonded Custom Hand Hammered Ear Wires with Carnelian and Peach Moonstone. 3’’ in Length and Light Weight, and a perfect pairing back to the Necklace and Bracelet.’’Comfy.’’
